A milestone on the way to achieving this goal was the development of the Twin Screw Pumps with external bearings, which was patented in 1934. This was followed in 1960 by the Triple Screw Pump, and in 1966 by the Eccentric Screw Pump, and finally in 1985 by the Multiphase Pump.
